We moved my soon to be 3yo daughter to a toddler bed because she would climb out of her crib.
She was doing pretty good about not getting up when we put her to sleep but now it has become a NIGHTMARE. She will not stay in her bed when put down and she wants us to stay in the room or else she gets up and walks out of her room.
With this new resistance she literally takes two hours to fall asleep - yesterday she fell asleep at 10pm.
What should I do?
I am struggling with my children's sleep and letting them know the nanny is leaving. Helpo!
I would love some sleeping advice. My oldest child 5.5yo and my youngest 2.5yo share a room at night. They each have their own bed. They fall asleep fairly normally… book, tucked in, rub back, fall asleep, I sneak out.
Somewhere around 11:45pm-2am my youngest will call me in to put the blanket on her, or my oldest will come and get me to rub her back or snuggle. This will continue through the night.
We are also in search of a new nanny. How do we tell our children?
We are switching from crib to bed and it's not going well. Help!
We are on day 9 (feels like 900) of my sons sleep journey. We started with the book at bedtime and whenever he asked, which was often, removed his crib, set up his room and he was excited. For two nights it was perfect. He just went to sleep for naps and bedtime no issues. Then the novelty wore off for him and it sunk in.
We are going in 4-6 times a night and I am exhausted and dad is slammed with work, he needs to function; we both do. What do we do about this looooong ‘go to sleep’ time?
My newborn doesn't seem to have a sleep rhythm. Is this normal??
We are trying to adapt to new life with two. My son is actually doing great. I wanted to ask you about my 2 month old. He has bad colic. On Monday I started him on Pepcid. He would cry for hours. Now he is doing better but we still have the witching hour from 7-10. The routine I have with him for bed is: warm bath with lavender oil then bottle and he is supposed to go to sleep but he stays awake. He goes to sleep around 10pm, wakes to eat again at 12am-1am to then wake again at 4am then 6am and then 8am. The 6am feeding is breastfed. Then he gets a bottle during the day. He eats about 4-5oz every 2-3 hours. I feel like I can’t get on any type of schedule with him. My older son, at this age, had a schedule at least to eat. My newborn is all over the place I feel. Any advice?
