The tantrum is nature's way to teach children emotional intelligence. The issue is that most parents take that time to avoid negative emotion when they are supposed to embrace it and teach children to get through it. It's easier to teach self soothing to a three-year-old than a 10-year-old. Tantrums, emotional outbursts, and the dreaded witching hour: whatever the name, they make most parents question the parenting decisions they have made.
In this 60-minute talk we will accomplish the following:
· Define what is developmentally appropriate and what may be an issue.
· Provide strategies on how to handle those moments when your little one loses control.
· Provide ample time for Q & A that addresses the specific needs of the attendees.
