Preschool, Kindergarten, Middle-School, High School, College
The lives of our children are constantly in transition. One of the largest transitions is going to school and becoming a student. From the safety of their home to the newness of a school environment there are multiple changes. Homework, studying, new friends, external influences, FSA, SAT, ACT, etc. So much to think about and manage for your family and your child. Changes can be challenging and it is necessary for optimal development to prepare.
In this workshop we will accomplish the following:
· Learn about the emotional underpinnings that accompany school and what we need them to develop emotionally to succeed in school.
· what is developmentally appropriate to expect
· Identify strategies for helping a child anticipate and adjust to the responsibilities of school.
· Provide ample time for Q & A that addresses the specific needs of the attendees.
